It's just over a week until we are back in competitive action and look to turn our fortunes around in the league table. Before that, however, the World Cup is nearing its conclusion, and there are still five Sevilla players who are involved in the tournament.

Ten of our players were called up, with half of them already returning to Sevilla. Serbia and Denmark's Group Stage exits meant that Dmitrovic, Gudelj, Delaney and Dolberg are back, while Telles picked up an injury against Cameroon for Brazil.

Between the four remaining countries, Sevilla FC are in the top three in the world for having the most players involved at this stage, with a grand total of five, divided between two of the four teams.

Yassine Bono and Youssef En-Nesyri have put in stellar performances as Morocco overcame Spain and Portugal in the knockout rounds, with Bono notably saving two spot-kicks in the shoot-out against Spain, and En-Nesyri scored the winner against Portugal with a remarkable leap to head home.

As for Argentina, our trio of Gonzalo Montiel, Marcos Acuña and Papu Gómez have reached this stage after wins against Australia and the Netherlands. While Papu has only played in two of the five matches so far, our full-back duo have been heavily involved.

In the quarter final against Van Gaal's side, Acuña won a penalty which was converted by Messi, while Montiel made no mistake in the shoot-out. However, both picked up bookings which rule them out of tomorrow's semi final against Croatia.

Only two other clubs can match our number of players. Only Bayern Munich can better us, with a total of six, but that number officially includes Lucas Hernández, who picked up a serious injury in the opening match and is no longer with the squad.

Their contingent consists of the aforementioned Hernández and another three French players in Upamecano, Pavard y Coman, as well as Stanišić for Croatia and Mazraoui for Morocco.

Fellow LaLiga side Atlético de Madrid also have five players left at the tournament, and, coincidentally, also have an Argentine trio of their own in Rodrigo De Paul, Nahuel Molina and Ángel Correa. They also have Grbić for Croatia and Griezmann for France.

Further down the list, Dinamo Zagreb have four players, while Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG, Tottenham and Wydad Casablanca all have three.

Argentina are in action against Croatia on Tuesday at 20:00, a match which could see Papu Gómez feature, while Bono and En-Nesyri will have to wait until Wednesday, when they face France at 20:00.
