Sergio Rico was disappointed to concede from a penalty in Thurday's 2-1 win over Celta Vigo, but was happy with the three points.
Goals from Joaquín Correa and substitute Wissam Ben Yedder either side of Iago Aspas' spot kick were enough to keep Sevilla in the hunt for third place in LaLiga.
"I'm very happy with the team," said the 23-year-old. "We knew that it was a vital game in the race for third place. We've got the win and now we're thinking about the game on Monday."
With four games to go, Sevila are eight points clear of Villarreal in fifth as the side look to secure Champions League qualification.
"It's the team's objective and the club's objective too," said Rico. "We've been working hard all season to reach that, everyone at the club is doing well."
Sevilla have now won three of their last four games, spelling an end to a difficult spell where wins were hard to come by.
"Football has its ups and downs but what's important is working hard," he said.
"I'm annoyed about the penalty, but the important thing was winning and we'll try to keep a clean sheet in the next game to keep helping the team."
