Roque Mesa was this Thursday's guest on A Balón Parado. The Canarian player isn't enjoying the continuity that he had hoped for, but far from worrying about the situation at hand, he assured that he was confident in turning it around by giving it his all. Things weren't easy for the player before establishing himself in the elite and he grew in the face of adversity: "Things have never been easy for me, but I won't dwell over it, I have to keep fighting. The more difficult things get, the more I have to give it my all and then the more you enjoy it. I give it my all every day so that I am ready, the rest isn't up to me".
“The more difficult things get, the more I have to give it my all and then the more you enjoy it”
The player appeared to be positive with regards to what's to come, making clear "I do not regret coming to the Club, given the choice again I would choose to come here a thousand times over. I came here after a previous attempt to transfer to the Club fell through, Once again they saw something in me and here I am".
For his fighting trait, he sees himself as a film character: "I've watched Gladiator a lot, I feel like I can identify with the main character. I watch it whenever I can. The mind is so important, and if I had not been a footballer, I would have liked to have been a psychologist. I started my degree but I had to leave it behind. My father is a psychologist, but he does not practice his profession on me, I need him more as a father".
