The Canary-Island native spoke on A Balón Parado before Sevilla FC's match with Valencia CF: "If we do everything Montella asks of us we've got a big chance". He also highlighted the team's ambition: "It's a very competitive and demanding club and I like that. It means you have to give absolutely everything every day"

Sandro Ramírez was this week's star on A Balón Parado. The Canary-native player first and foremost spoke about his future: "I'd like to stay here next season, I'm clear on that. It's a competitive and demanding club. I'll speak to Everton to tell them I want to stay".

His wellbeing at Sevilla FC is something that has been a symptom of a happy changing room: "I've found a united group, a changing room where you feel comfortable. It makes you get up every day with enthusiasm to train and that's really important for me. I'm really surprised at how they've accepted me, like one more player from the very beginning".

“Work hard every day to be ready for the boss when he needs you”

Sandro hopes that staying on he'll be able to achieve a more prominent role: "I'm working hard every day to do just that, I'll always be ready to help the team when the boss thinks I'm ready".

He also wanted to emphasise the quality of the squad. Asked about the player who's caught his attention the most, he spoke about: "Ever Banega. It's impressive to watch him train and play. He's very hard working, he's very committed; as a footballer you just have to watch him on the pitch".

“There's support at Old Trafford but nothing compared to the Sánchez-Pizjuán”

Sevilla FC now have the challenge of two huge fixtures and Sandro is convinced that the team is up for the challenge: "We are confident in ourselves, doing what the boss asks us to do, we'll have more than a chance".

On the clash in Manchester, he stressed that: "in Old Trafford there's support but nothing like compared to the Sánchez-Pizjuán. All football fans like the Sevilla anthem, it's a thing to behold and even more so when you're wearing the shirt".

Looking back rather than ahead, the new Sevillista remembered his arrival at Sevilla FC: "Midway through January my agent told me Sevilla were interested. I was really clear, I wanted to leave Everton and come here. The contract here was tied up quickly but the negotiation with Everton was very tough. It was incessant. I spoke clearly with the Everton board and told them I wanted to come to Sevilla. They wouldn't let me have an option to buy but I wanted to leave and play in Sevilla so I accepted it that way".
