TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION SHOWCASED AT THE GEN AI CONCLAVE IN INDIA

The club continues to showcase the results of its commitment to technological innovation on an international stage. The club's Chief Data Officer, Elías Zamora, took part in the Gen AI Conclave organized by IBM in Kerala, India. During a conference on how generative artificial intelligence is aiding technological innovation, Zamora presented the success story of the launch of Scout Advisor. This tool, developed by the club in collaboration with IBM, is the first application to use this type of technology through the WatsonX generative artificial intelligence system.

 

Scout Advisor is a tool that has managed to consolidate over 200,000 scout reports from the club's database into a single application that allows for player searches based on natural language descriptions. Scout Advisor is capable of locating and categorising players by understanding the technical jargon of football and identifying qualities that cannot be measured by numbers, such as leadership, which are noted in the scouts' reports.
