SERGI GÓMEZ: 'IT'S A GOOD RESULT WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN EVEN BETTER'

'We'll have to grit our teeth in the second leg at home,' he said

Sevilla FC's defender, Sergi Gómez, went over the team's win in the Mixed Zone: 'We're aware we have got a good result but I think we feel it could have been better, we had chances to kill the tie off. We knew it would be a complicated game against a great team in Lazio, they're a very physical team and they're doing well in Europe. The team needed a game like this to remind us of what we are. We have put in some great performances this season but recent results haven't helped us.'

'A million things can happen in these kinds of games - the most important thing is that we're coming away with a win. Now we just have to do well at home with our fans to get into the next round. We'll have to grit our teeth,' commented Gómez regarding the state of the tie.

Regarding the visit to Villarreal this Sunday, the Catalan stated 'now we have another important game in La Liga around the corner. We need to keep training hard as we have been doing.'
