Sergi Gómez spoke to the press after the win over Qarabag in Nervión: "I think we're all aware what this tournament means for Sevilla and what's left to achieve. Today's match was another display of our ambition. We played well and we have to have faith in moving the ball around as we try to break teams down".
On a personal level he was happy after returning to the starting XI: "I'm happy, I've fully recovered and I'm in very good shape after the shoulder injury". He also spoke about the strength of the squad: "It's one of the side's strengths, we all know how strong the competition for places is. Those who play less have to perform when they get the chance, so the manager sees".
Finally, he reiterated the side's ambition ahead of the trip to APOEL in two weeks: "It'll be tough in Cyprus, but we are very ambitious and we are very keen to compete and enjoy ourselves".
