Sergi Gómez, Sevilla FC's defender, was interviewed after the match at the Camp Nou: 'We knew we were up against one of the best teams in the world. No one likes to be knocked out and even less so in this way. We have to find positives to take away.'

Sevilla's inability to take their chances was clinical: 'We wanted to get in front. How clinical they were, alongside the chances that we missed, decided the game. They are ruthless.'

This result could affect the team's moral: 'They scored a lot of goals and that really hurts us. Now we have an important league match coming up. We have to be smart and improve from this.'
