What Sevilla FC have achieved in this 21st century is no fluke. Despite no trophies in the first five years, they have been able to sneak into the top three of the continent's most successful clubs since 2001. They have done so thanks to their six UEFA Europa League trophies and their 2006 UEFA Super Cup, and with a real chance of winning their second UEFA Super Cup in just over a month in Budapest.

Real Madrid lead the way with nine titles this century, but they are followed by FC Barcelona and now Sevilla FCwho have seven titles. The Nervionenses pulled clear of the two sides they had shared third place with, Atlético de Madrid and Liverpool, who have six. AC Milan have four while Porto, Chelsea and Bayern have three, but Bayern could add to that tally in Sunday's UCL Final in Lisbon.

The fourth Spanish side on the list is Valencia, who have two trophies, as do Manchester United and Zenit St Petersburg. Finally, the teams with one trophy are Feyenoord, CSKA Moscow, Shakhtar Donetsk and our opponents today, Inter. PSG could join them if they can beat Bayern on Sunday evening.
