For Thursday's match in the Europa League, there has been a change of plan for Sevilla FC, and a change from what they are used to on a European away day. As they are trying to reduce the amount of time spent travelling, the team will train for the final time before the match on Wednesday morning in Sevilla, at 10.30 at the training ground. Later on, at around 15.00, they will catch their flight to Luxembourg.
In this sense, the itinerary of the what the President usually does has been changed as well. On this occasion, José Castro will fly out from the San Pablo Airport at roughly 13.40. Once in Luxembourg, the team will head straight to the Josy Barthel Stadium to inspect it; whilst Julen Lopetegui and one of the players will give the press conference at around 19.00.
Although they will not train on the opposition's pitch before the match on Thursday night (which is in fact not an obligation from UEFA), the coaching staff and players are expected to examine the pitch. During the day and a half that Sevilla FC will be in Luxembourg, rain and low temperatures (between 2 and 8ºC) are expected. The game will be Sevilla FC's first ever competitive match in the small, central-European country.
