Sevilla FC continues to receive recognition for its commitment to technological innovation, driven by the Innovation Center and the club's data department.
In this regard, Meta, a world-renowned technology company that owns some of the most popular social networks in the world, such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, has chosen Sevilla FC as a success story in using Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Scout Advisor tool in its latest blog post on AI.
Scout Advisor is an app Sevilla FC and IBM developed on its Artificial Intelligence platform, watsonx, which allows the automatic identification and characterization of players using the textual information contained in hundreds of thousands of reports generated by their scouts.
"Using language cues from Sevilla FC scouts that describe the key characteristics of the players sought, Scout Advisor generates lists of potential candidates based on the indicated requirements and summarizes the complete set of scout reports on each individual player, linking each player to Sevilla FC's own data applications to obtain an in-depth analysis of their quantitative performance figures," highlights Meta's publication.
"The natural language processing capabilities of the solution have allowed Sevilla FC to use multiple large language models (LLMs), including Meta's Llama 3, to help improve the accuracy and effectiveness of player identification," it adds about the technical aspects that include the use of one of the languages developed by Meta.
