This Tuesday marked Sevilla FC's first morning training session following their return back to work yesterday evening. The closed-door training session, coached by Eduardo Berizzo, saw Gabriel Mercado making progress following his injury as he took part in half of the session. The three players with international commitments - Kjaer, N'Zonzi and Banega - remained absent as they prepared for their second and last matches with their respective sides which are set to take place today.
Banega will be the first to return to Sevilla following Argentina's fixture against Nigeria at 17:30 pm this evening in the Russian city of Krasnodar. The French team are also preparing to come up against Germany in Cologne with kick-off set for 20:45pm. At the same time, but with a lot more to play for, Danish player Kjaer and his national side will come up against Ireland in a bid to secure a place for the Russia 2018 World Cup. It's all up for grabs following the 0-0 draw in Copenhagen. The team will return back to work this Wednesday at 10:00am for a closed-door training session at the Sports Village.
