During their pre-season trip to Japan, Sevilla FC will play Cerezo Osaka, Hiroshi Kiyotake's current team, on 17 July. This will be the first of two matches Sevilla will contest on Japanese soil, with a game against Kashima Antlers on 22 July announced a number of weeks ago.
Sevilla FC will be in Japan from 13-23 July , and will be staying in Osaka. Both matches will be played under a framework organised by the Japan League in an effort to bring clubs with international status to the island.
The Meiji Yasuda J.League World Challenge 2017 includes these two matches with the goal of offering Japanese fans the chance to see teams with internatinal status, while at the same time their strongest clubs will have the opportunity to gain experience against high quality teams that they would not usually face.
