A total of six Sevilla FC academy players will take part in the individual training sessions when the squad are able to return to training, in accordance with the protocol established by LaLiga for professional teams. Five Sevilla Atlético players (Alfonso, Mena, Genaro, Lara and Juanlu) and Juvenil A (U19) full back Pablo Pérez will take part in these sessions. They have all trained with the first team this season under Julen Lopetegui.

As part of Phase 1 of the protocol, Sevilla FC has everything ready and organised to proceed to the return of training sessions, which is due to happen when Phase 2 starts. Of course, the first step is to carry out tests on the squad and coaching staff. These tests will be carried out shortly, but the dates are yet to be determined.

When Phase 2 begins, in principle this week, individual training sessions will begin at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios. When Phase 3 begins, training sessions will be completed in small groups. Full training sessions will only begin as part of Phase 4. All sessions will be carried out with strict hygiene and disinfection measures.

The return to training for professional footballers means the reactivation of a very relevant economic sector, which accounts for 1.37% of GDP and creates 185,000 jobs, at a moment in which the economic situation is the main concern, caused by the health crisis.

"This crisis has had a profound impact of all of us. The return of football is a sign that society is progressing to the new normal. It will also bring back an element of life that people in Spain and all over the world know and love", said Javier Tebas, LaLiga President. "People's health is paramount, so we have a comprehensive protocol to safeguard the health of all those involved while working to restart LaLiga. Circumstances are unprecedented, but we hope to start playing again in June and finish our 2019/20 season this summer. To return is to win!".
