The boys highlighted the unconditional support the fans give

Rakitić, Munir, and Acuña all had their say after the big derby triumph. Firstly, our Croatian centre midfielder commented on his personal confidence and the huge push the fans gave the players: "I was very confident and I believe it was very important to open the scoring when we did, when we were on top. The way in which the team performed, the way it responded, was incredible and we have to thank our fans for that because even those who aren't the biggest of Sevillistas have become our supporters today...".

The other goal scorer on the day got to talking about the way team had approached the game, also highlighting the fans' support inside the Sánchez-Pizjuán: "The team came out really charged up. This is the path we need to go down and we are really happy for having won the derby because we have been on a bit of bumpy run and results haven't been coming our way but we kept going and we got our reward in the end. I tried to sleep before the game but it was impossible because I was too excited... The Sevilla fans deserve it more than anyone."

Marcos Acuña ended by speaking about the team's effort: "I am happy with group's commitment, that commitment was evident out on the pitch today and we were the rightful winners. I haven't been able to play a derby in front of our fans but with this win, I've enjoyed it twice as much."
