TECATITO STARTS AND PLAYS 79 MINUTES AGAINST THE UNITED STATES

Jesús Corona played in the early hours of Friday morning in another match with his national side Mexico, against the United States in the twelfth game in qualification for the 2022 Qatar World Cup. With the final result a 0-0 draw, the Sevilla player started from the beginning on the right wing of the Mexico attack, playing a total of 79 minutes before being substituted. 

In the standings, both teams remain level on 22 points, third and second respectively with two rounds to play in the Central American group. Mexico will play again in the early hours of Tuesday morning, this time travelling to Honduras who are bottom of the standings with only four points and no wins. A Mexico win would effectively seal their place at the World Cup.
