UNDER-19 B TEAM PLAY QATAR UNDER-17 NATIONAL SIDE IN FRIENDLY

Our Under-19 B side played a friendly against the Qatar Under-17 national team as they continued preparations for their upcoming 2024/25 Laiga Nacional campaign. Marco García's side emerged 6-4 in a thrilling match, having led 3-2 at half-time.

 

The Qatar side was managed by the renowned Serbian coach Bora Milutinovic, who has managed 9 national teams and coached in 13 countries across his extensive career. "I return to Sevilla 40 years after that semi-final between France and Germany. It was an unforgettable match. Sevilla are a very important team in Spanish football," Milutinovic recalled. 

 

He also spoke about the quality of the facilities at the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios and the track of the club in developing young players. "Players have to have passion and you have to have an eye for discovering them. Young players want to be great players and you have to bring together the tactical, physical and mental aspects of the team. The facilities are wonderful and are the ideal conditions for a team to prepare for competition. From the pitches to the changing rooms to the pitches, everything is wonderful," he said.
