After the training session on Wednesday 27th May, Tomas Vaclík spoke to official Sevilla FC media, where he spoke about the time in lockdown, something which was particularly special for him, and how it has been working alongside his teammates the last few days: "It was good, because we don't have that opportunity to spend a lot of time with the family and it was good opportunity for me to take advantage and enjoy that time. We have a baby girl who's four months old and I've been able to see new things every day as she grows up. That side of things has been positive, being able to be together with my wife and my two daughters for a long time".
VACLÍK: "WE'RE GETTING BETTER EVERY DAY AND WE STILL HAVE MORE TIME TO KEEP PREPARING"
Vaclík admitted that his work from home, in some respects, was different from that of the other team members: "It's a little different from the work of the rest of the team. Some tasks are similar, but we also have to work on our specific moves for goalkeepers".
"Us goalkeepers have been able to work as much as we needed, it's been good for us to be apart"
Regarding the return to the training ground, the Czech international said that "it was good to see the faces of my friends and teammates on the first day. Training was different, the goal felt very big, but we're getting better every day and we still have more time to keep preparing as best we can. All us goalkeepers are working together, two and two for the first few days, and we've been able to do everything we needed to do, so it's been advantage for us to be separated from the rest of the group".
Fully focused on football, Vaclík referred to the importance of being able to train together with the rest of his teammates to work on many details: "The defensive part is very important, such as visuals, distance, aerial play, reaction... It's very important for us to be able to work with the rest of our teammates". The keeper also said "it's important to prepare ourselves to play without fans, but we know it will be like this for a long time. We have to get ready for this".
"The derby is special for everyone; the fans, the dressing room, the club... I know what it means and I'm very keen to play in one again"
Thinking ahead to the first game after the restart, the derby, Vaclík was clear: "It's a very special game for everyone, the club, the dressing room, the city, the fans... I know what this match means and I'm very keen to play in one again. I will do all I can to win the three points and make the people happy after this difficult situation".
Finally, the man from Ostrava spoke about the good relationship between the goalkeepers at the club: "I'm seeing them very well. The four of us have a very good relationship and every day we are looking forward to seeing each other, we are enjoying a lot of time together".
