Jorge Sampaoli assessed a win against Mallorca after which he acknowledged that plenty still needs to be done, but emphasised what it would to keep the good form going: "More than anything we're all thrilled with the result, because the team comes through an uncomfortable situation, wins and all off the back of a european trip and a packed schedule. We lacked volume in attack but had more than enough defensive solidity".
Of course, this turning point still requires some work on our part: "It's important for morale, because from a footballing point of view we have a lot of room for improvement, but a happy dressing room and being able to build on this mentality is a bit easier than doing it when the dressing room is downbeat".
"There are things to improve, but we are trying to keep things simple and today it's a 1-0 win against an opponent who made it difficult for Real Madrid and Barcelona and who we have a lot of respect for. The point of today's game was for the team to find the confidence to continue to improve in front of goal."
