On Tuesday, the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán hosted the official presentation of the documentary “Jesús Navas, sobran las palabras” (Jesús Navas, Words are unnecessary). A production by Sevilla FC +, it recounts and reviews the professional career of our record appearance holder, featuring unseen, exclusive footage.
The event was attended by numerous guests, led by the man himself, who was visibly moved by the occasion, especially when watching the premiere of the series trailer. Many of our former players and coaches, as well a sfamily members and a representation of the club's board of directors, led by president José María del Nido Carrasco, also attended the event.
The documentary consists of five episodes that revisit Navas's life, from when he first arrived at the training ground, until he played his last match and said goodbye to the club last December. The series, which premieres on 18 June, will be available exclusively as premium content on Sevilla FC +'s new digital content platform, which will be operational from mid-June.
With extensive footage from his last six months as a player, the documentary series alternates intimate and exclusive moments with memories of the past, told through the illustrious testimonies of those who surrounded him on and off the pitch for more than two decades. These include, among many others, Lamine Yamal, Andrés Iniesta, Frederic Kanouté, Rodri Hernández, Joaquín Caparrós, Luis de la Fuente, Éver Banega, Roberto Carlos, Enzo Maresca, Xavi Hernández, Nico Williams and Sergio Ramos.
