SELEMON BAREGA,WINNER OF THE SEVILLA MARATHON, TAKES AN HONORARY KICK OFF AGAINST MALLORCA

The Ethiopian athlete Selemon Barega was the great star of the Sevilla marathon on Sunday. The 10,000m Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020, was making his debut over the marathon distance and won with a time of 2:05:15. 

In recognition of this great triumph, the African athlete was invited this Monday to the president's box of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, where he was welcomed by President José María del Nido Carrasco, who presented him with a Sevilla shirt with his name and the number 25, in reference to the year of his triumph. Afterwards and already wearing the shirt, he went down to the pitch, where he was able to take an honorary kick-off and was cheered by the fans.
