Kike Salas expressed his satisfaction after making his debut for Spain Under-21s on Friday. The defender, who starred in the 0-0 draw against England Under-21s in La Línea, confessed that he was 'very happy. I have lots of work to do from this point, but to be here today and wear the colours of my country makes me really proud." He also gave a shout-outs to his two managers, for club and country: "I'm really fortunate to be given minutes on the pitch, and to have the trust of both Xavi [García Pimienta] and Santi [Demia, the Under-21's manager]. I'm going to keep working hard and proving my ability on the pitch."
He will now have another chance to rack up more minutes, alongside his club teammate Juanlu Sánchez, in their next match against Denmark Under-21s on Tuesday at 19:00 CET.
