CRISTIAN TORO: "WE WERE BETTER THAN THEM IN EVERY DEPARTMENT”

Following the historic El Gran Derbi Femenino victory against Real Betis, Cristian Toro gave his thoughts on the action. "I'm very proud of the way we played from the very first minute. The first half was great, not only the goals but also the work off the ball. We created chance after chance and our dominance showed in the second half. The result, the fans, the atmosphere - everything was incredible. We've worked very hard for this, players and backroom staff, and we deserve to enjoy this moment."

Reflecting on the season so far, he said "we had a difficult start to the campaign. Bad results will play on your mind and create frustration. But I always say that the way you react to those moments is what defines you. Today we were superb in every department. Our best performance of the season. In truth, we were better than them all over the pitch. I'm very pleased to have kept another clean sheet as well. We can build on this to set us up for the rest of the season.

Finally, Toro commented on the atmosphere at the Estadio Jesús Navas. "Before the game we spoke about having a feeling of belonging and giving 100%. We wanted fans to feel proud of us. Today they did a great job in spurring us on. Hopefully the support continues throughout the season and we continue improving."
