DIEGO ALONSO: "THE PLAYERS SHOWED WHAT THE CUP MEANS TO THEM"

Diego Alonso revealed his satisfaction after his side’s cup win at CD Quintanar: “The primary objective was to progress to the next round, then to assess the performance of the players and there were some standouts. We’re happy with what we saw this afternoon and those who played will definitely get more opportunities to impress. Overall the players worked very hard and, although the playing surface obviously made more expansive football difficult, they showed how much this game, this competition and the fans mean to them.”
