García Pimienta spoke to us after Tuesday night's goalless draw against RCD Mallorca: "It was a very competitive game against a very demanding opponent. I'll take the clean sheet and the fact we managed to contain most of their attacks. We went all out for the game right from the start, and while it wasn't possible in the end to win, we kept a clean sheet against a difficult opponent. Now we need to recover well and think about the game against Girona."

The Catalan coach assessed in detail the game's key events, highlighting that at times the team created clear chances to score: "In certain situations, Mallorca came out on top as they play at home and they felt pressure from the fans to go forward. They also came out on top when Juanlu's rebound came back off the post. The crowd were whistling at times because we were in control of the game, with clear chances for [Djibril] Sow, Isaac and the imbalance of [Chidi] Ejuke. Then they went up a gear as the game went on, and with one player less, we had to protect the point."

"‘We have a very complete squad. Everyone can start"

Commenting on the first time in the starting line-up for Sambi, Ejuke and Iheanacho, the coach underlined the high level of the squad: ‘We have a very complete squad, everyone can start. I'm not going to have players ready for the bench, they have to be ready to play. Juanlu and Isaac have made great progress too. Sevilla FC is a great club that needs the best, so we have to keep improving to win games.

I was very happy to see that we're creating a fond between the fans and the team. The team fought and created chances. It's a pity it got away at the end because of a defensive error. I'm convinced that with this attitude, the way they're behaving and with the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán bouncing, we're going to secure a much-needed first win in the near-future. There's still a long, long way to go in the league, and Mallorca so hopefully tonight's result doesn't way too heavily on the players," he concluded.
