SERGIO RAMOS AND LUCAS OCAMPOS SPEAK AFTER THE VICTORY AGAINST UD LAS PALMAS

Ocampos and Ramos spoke after the clash that gave Sevilla FC their first win of the 23/24 campaign, leaving Nervión delighted. After a top-class individual showing, the Argentinian stated: "we put in a fairly complete performance, we were searching for the opener but the ball just wouldn't go in. We suffered but eventually our luck changed. I had plenty of chances today, a goal disallowed and several more opportunities to put us ahead. We needed this victory to be able to focus on the Champions League and we're excited to kick off that competition as well as we possibly can."

The centre-back, who made his debut at the first time of asking since his return, added: "I'm happy with the win and to have seen the fans again and these first three points taste even sweeter after our tough start. I'm very grateful for the warm reception they showed me, it's important to feel loved and the best way to fight for our goals is all together. With more games I will be able to bring my best form to the team in order to create the necessary solidity at the back. Today Las Palmas did everything they could to break us down but we were clear that we wanted to be direct in possession and I'm happy even though it wasn't easy. Attack starts in strong defence and providing the team with good balance is crucial and also gives confidence to the fans. Wearing this shirt in front of the supporters again makes me incredibly proud, and now turning our attention to the Champions League, a competition in which the support of the fans is so important, I believe we can go far in a tournament that requires maximum commitment and concentration."
