José Ángel Carmona gave an honest assessment of Friday's defeat in Valencia: "Another defeat. We can't carry on like this. Four consecutive defeats is not good enough. We have to look at ourselves and improve. We started well but couldn't capitalise on the chances we created. Then in the final seconds of the half we concede a goal that was ultimately very costly. The boys gave everything, but we need to look at each other and improve. With regards to the penalty, when I saw that it was going to VAR, I knew that it was going to be overturned. That's just how things are going for us at the moment."

Ørjan Nyland said, "We're in need of some goals, clearly. They scored out of nowehere just before half time but just before that we should have had a penalty. It was obvious. Isaac gets the better of his man and is brought down. That's a foul anywhere else on the pitch. It wasn't given and that's that, but we need to capitalise on our opportunities."

Finally, Sow revealed, "We've been losing games recently by the finest of margins so we need to reflect on our mistakes. We didn't play badly, especially in the first half during which I thought we were the better side, but all that matters is the result. We need to reflect and work to improve. This season we've been on the end of some bad luck with regards to penalties and it happened again today. But for me there is a clear foul in the build up to Valencia's goal. That should have been reviewed. These are the fine margins that we are losing games by."
