KIKE SALAS: "WE PUT IN A PERFORMANCE TO BE PROUD OF"

Kike Salas and Alejo Veliz spoke after Saturday's away draw at Valencia. Reflecting on the match, our academy graduate expressed his delight at being named in the starting line-up: "I've been working hard, I'm trying my best to help the team and the manager's trust in me has given me confidence. I think it showed in our performance today. We did really well to contain the opposition today so we should be proud."

Meanwhile, Alejo Veliz came on in the second half to make his debut for the club, and he explained how the atmosphere in training has helped him progress to being match fit: "From the minute I arrived in Sevilla, it's been my aim to make my debut and today it's happened. Now I need to try my best whenever given the opportunity. Today was a great start, so from here on in I need to keep building my confidence and adapt to the team as quickly as possible. I already feel like I'm part of a really strong group, so this week I'll continue working hard to try and be in contention to start in the next match."
