The Sevilla FC U19s picked up a point against Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League with a 1-1 draw. Lolo Rosano's side, who were the better team for large parts of the game, went ahead after 15 minutes following good work by Robert Jalede and Ibra to tee up Nacho Vizcaíno, who made no mistake in finding the back of Rojas's net. With the wind in their sail, the U19s almost managed a second only a couple of minutes later, but the Arsenal keeper denied Collado.
In the 20th minute, the U19s' keeper, Marc, was called into action to prevent the home side's best chance of the half. There were no changes to the scoreline before half time, despite the away side continuing to apply the pressure. But three of the Arsenal players were booked for flying into challenges.
Arsenal were a better side in the second half and were rewarded after an hour of play at Meadow Park, Walters bringing his side level. However Ibra and Sergio Martínez had good chances to win it for the U19s, but neither player could convert. Lolo Rosano brought Iker Villar on from the bench, clearly showing intent to win the game rather than settling for a point, but the match finished all-square at 1-1.
Draw leaves the outcome of the group undecided, following PSV's victory against RC Lens. If the U19s manage to beat the Dutch side at the Estadio Jesús Navas, which will be played at 14:00 CET on the 29th of November, they will enter the final matchday in second place, a position that would see them qualify for the knockout stage. Sevilla FC U19 starting XI: Marc; Jorge, Robert Jalade, Sergio Martínez, David López; Nacho, Rivera, Collado; Bakary, José Antonio, Ibra. Substitutes used: Iker villar.
