After three consecutive victories leading up to the game, CD Estepona welcomed an in-form Sevilla Atlético to the Estadio Francisco Muñoz Pérez. First-half goals from Isaac and Isra and strikes from Santisteban and Oso after the break secured a comprehensive victory for Jesús Galván's side, who move within one point of Marbella in the top spot.
The deadlock was broken within the first ten minutes when Capi fed Isaac, who broke past the home side's defence before unleashing a shot from the left edge of the area that went in off the post. CD Estepona replied well, Alberto Flores producing a fine save to deny Tahiru.
Isra doubled the reserve side's lead
Despite it being an even contest for large parts of the first half, Isra Domínguez doubled the reserve side's lead. Capi had a shot saved before Isra tucked in the rebound. Isaac had a chance to increase his season tally of seven goals before the half-time whistle, but he could not convert. 2-0 at the break.
The start of the second forty-five saw a period of domination for the home side, but it was Oso who came closest to scoring - directly from a corner! The reserves survived the period of Estepona pressure without conceding and looked to put the result beyond doubt.
Santisteban and Oso put the game to bed towards the end of the second half
Towards the end of the match, Santisteban found Sevilla Atlético's third goal, converting from an incredible Oso pass, who was still in the defensive half. Oso then scored a goal of his own in injury time, the cherry on top of the cake. The second away win of the season sees the gap to league-leaders Marbella closed to a single point ahead of next week's match against Cádiz CF Mirandilla at the Estadio Jesús Navas.
