The reserves picked up an important point on the road after Mateo Mejía had put them ahead in the 21st minute

With only five matches left in the season, Sevilla Atlético kept the points tally ticking with a draw away at Racing Cartagena Mar Menor. It was an important point for both sides; Sevilla Atlético are top of the table and are in the hunt for automatic promotion while Racing Cartagena Mar Menor are looking to avoid falling into the play-out zone. Jesús Galván's side took the lead through Mateo Mejía before Pepe Bernal equalised two minutes later.

In the wind and the rain, the reserves started on the front foot with the first chance of the game falling to Hormigo, but his effort skimmed the post as it drifted wide. Racing Cartagena then had a very similar chance, which Alberto Flores tipped behind for a corner. The opening goal came from a corner, Mateo Mejía scoring on his birthday. However the lead didn't last long. Pepe Bernal drew the hosts level with an effort that surprised Flores.

With the weather improving after the break, Jesús Galván was forced to bring Leo Macaró on for Darío, who picked up a knock at the end of the first half. The hosts came close to taking the lead but Montejo's lobbed effort rebounded off the crossbar. The rain returned towards the end of the encounter with both teams looking for a winner without over committing in attack. Musa had a good chance to win it late on, but his low drive lacked the power to beat the opposition keeper. The hosts could also have found a late winner, but Flores was alert and saved well from Raúl's powerful effort. Sevilla Atlético stay top of the table with a point on the road before returning to the Estadio Jesús Navas next week to face San Roque de Lepe.
