GARCÍA PIMIENTA: "IT WAS A PAINFUL RESULT FOR WHAT HAPPENED"

Xavi García Pimienta spoke after the defeat against FC Barcelona. Our head coach first analysed what happened on Sunday night at the Sánchez-Pizjuán: “The first half was very good, knowing how to absorb pressure and being defensively solid, conceding very little. They scored first but we were able to equalise immediately. On the counterattack, we looked dangerous. We had a couple of chances with Isaac and Lukebakio, if you score those the game changes. It's a shame they scored so quickly in the second half but there is also a moment that at least should have been reviewed as there is a push on Djibril Sow. I think it was a painful result for what happened." 

He also spoke about the important match next Sunday at the Nuevo José Zorrilla: “We have this match very fresh in our minds, we are upset about the defeat. I would like to highlight the fans, who were supporting and suffering with us. They deserved to get something positive today, but we have to think about next week, a very difficult and demanding match in a difficult environment."
