Sergio Ramos spoke to Sevilla FC TV after the victory against Real Sociedad. "I'm really happy with the result. It's very important that we keep picking up points and keep moving up the table. It was a tough game overall, especially defensively. Now with a less busy schedule, we came into the game having prepared thoroughly. But I have to say, we were on the front foot from the first whistle, En-Nesyri and Isaac causing problems early on. I'm glad that they were able to take some of the chances and that we managed to get the result we wanted. Things are going well at the moment, it's just a shame that we couldn't find this good form earlier. But we are now giving the fans something to cheer about with good performances and good results. On a personal note, I have been feeling a lot better these past few months and if I can help out with some goals too, brilliant."
Pedrosa said "today they lined up slightly differently and we had to make sure that we were on top from the very start. We scored two early goals but then two set pieces kept them in it. But overall we were quite comfortable. Other than the goal just before half time, we were very happy during the break because things were going very well. We didn't have quite as much of the ball as we would have liked, but we were very comfortable. In the second half, we knew that we needed to find a third to make sure of the game. Conceding late on was a blow, but we held on for the win. We need to keep this up and keep making the fans happy. Our confidence is improving and we are desperate to keep climbing the table."
En-Nesyri was the last player to be interviewed after the match. He said that "what's important is that we put in hard work on the training ground and that we are prepared for the next game. I'm always focused on the task in hand, to keep on improving. I'm not sure whether it was the best performance of the season, I don't tend to look at my performances and decide which were the best and worst. What's important to me is that I help the team win. We're in good form and we want to keep it that way. The rabona is not something I had planned. It's just what I thought was the best option in the moment. Isaac and I work for each other. He didn't score today, but he still played brilliantly.
