The Club

Club president José María del Nido Carrasco and Aeroméxico Regional Manager, Sonia Oliveras, were present for the official presentation of the international partnership at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán
Cuerpo Superior

After announcing the agreement for Aeroméxico to become the official airline of Sevilla FC at midday, the partnership was formally unveiled at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. Del Nido Carrasco subsequently emphasised his delight at the deal: "Sevilla FC and Aeroméxico are today signing an alliance that is sure to be very productive for both parties. Mexico represents a key strategic market for the club and this agreement will give us greater reach there. This marks the continuation of a commitment to strengthening our relationship with the country, after playing the first ever derby abroad in Guadalajara. We interact with our Mexican fanbase on a daily basis through multiple channels, providing tailored content that has seen increasingly widespread social media engagement."

"The agreement is also with one of the most important companies in Mexico, Aeroméxico, a reference point for many others in its sector. Sevilla FC is always looking to partner with major brands and in this case we are partnering with one of the most respected airlines in the Americas. We also share with them many values that make this relationship make a lot of sense. Not only the ambition and internationalisation that both institutions seek, but also the aspiration to continue breaking barriers, to continue growing in all areas. We hope that this commercial alliance will grow and that this will be the first step on a long road together in which we will also serve as a link between two sister cultures.

Oliveras: "Becoming the official airline of Sevilla FC is a major achievement for us"

Afterwards, Aeroméxico's Regional Sales Manager for Europe and Asia, Sonia Oliveras, wanted to "thank all those who are present with us today - to the press and especially to José María del Nido Carrasco and Sevilla FC for their support over the past weeks. Today we celebrate a partnership that will unite fans in Spain and Mexico more than ever before. For us, becoming the official airline of a club as big as Sevilla FC represents a big step forward. We are the first Mexican airline to be involved in LaLiga."

"Spain is one of our most significant markets. For 61 years we have been working to bring Mexico closer to Spain, and this summer will be no different. We will be operating more than 30 weekly flights to Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City. I would like to reiterate Aeroméxico's intention to continue to generate strategic alliances with key institutions, such as Sevilla FC, who help to put the spotlight on Mexico's talent. Thank you very much again for joining us today, and welcome aboard, Sevilla FC!" After the speeches and the signing of the contract, a photo was taken on the pitch to mark the event.
