SÁNCHEZ FLORES: "WE SHUT DOWN THE OPPOSITION AND CAMPED IN THEIR HALF"

Quique Sánchez Flores expressed his joy after tonight's huge cup win at Getafe: "Today we played a different ball game. We matched a team that makes great use of second balls and like to play on the counter attack. We cancelled out our opponents' strengths, which we were very focussed on doing. From then on, we were very accurate in front of goal, which ultimately sealed the result for us.

The coach praised his players' ability to adapt to the circumstances: "They are a team that presses a lot, they make games very uncomfortable and we knew that it was going to be very difficult here. We adapted well to their gritty tactics, and we were organised when it was needed most.

Now it's time to continue building confidence on the weekend's trip to Girona: "It's about the players getting back to their best. The only way is to win games. That's what feeds them and gives them confidence. We are very happy for the fans, we thank them for their big efforts to travel here, and hopefully we can do the same for the weekend". The added bonus of a happy night was the contribution of Alberto Flores and Isaac: "These are guys who are knocking on the door, who are doing well, and we have to let those who want to fly, fly.
