The excellent results of Sevilla Atlético continue in recent months, supported by a spectacular defensive strength. After earning one point out of six in two consecutive away games to Yecla and Valdebebas, Jesús Galván's team returned to winning ways with a resounding victory at the Jesús Navas Stadium last Saturday, which allows them to be level on points with the promotion playoff spots. In 2025, they have achieved seven wins, one draw, and two losses in ten matches, a 22 out of 30 record that even improves the English average by two points. Additionally, the team has managed to turn around their goal difference, going from (-6) at the end of 2024 to the current (+1). In these last ten matches, they have kept eight clean sheets and conceded only three goals.
These numbers are even more impressive at home, where the reserve team's performance has no comparison with any of the other 39 teams in the Primera Federación. No one else has managed to win every home game in 2025, and certainly not without conceding a single goal. In fact, the penalty saved in the final moments of the match against Alcoyano allowed Sevilla Atlético to accumulate 560 minutes without conceding a goal at the sports complex. In addition to the five full matches this year against Mérida, Algeciras, Intercity, Hércules, and Alcoyano, we must also include the pre-Christmas farewell against Fuenlabrada (0-0) and the 20 minutes they played after the last goal conceded at home, scored by Escassi, an Ibiza player, on the distant 23rd of November.
In Group 2 of the Primera Federación, the closest to Sevilla Atlético is Alcorcón, which has conceded only one goal this year at Santo Domingo, earning 11 points out of 15. With two goals conceded are Sanluqueño and Alcoyano, the latter with only four home matches in 2025. In Group 1, the record belongs to Tarazona, which has conceded two goals. As if this weren't enough, Sevilla Atlético’s reserve team is the only one to maintain a perfect record at home in the last two and a half months. Their 15 points out of 15 possible are above Ibiza, Atlético B, and Ceuta's 13 points at home in Group 2, and only surpassed by Ourense in Group 1. These are spectacular stats that will need to continue in ten days when Marbella visits the Utrera road, although the reserve team's full focus right now is on Sunday's match in Fuenlabrada at 19:30 CET.
