DAVID LOSADA: "I AM VERY HAPPY WITH HOW THE TEAM FACED IT AND FOR THE FANS"

David Losada spoke to the media after Sunday’s victory in the Great Derby. In an initial assessment of the year so far, he stated, “we’ve returned quite well, trying to find consistency. It’s the second matchday with a clean sheet, and I’m very happy with how the team has come back and how they are approaching things. Honestly, it’s such a special match, and I’m super happy for the team and for the fans.”

Analyzing the match itself, the coach highlighted that “It was a derby in the purest derby style, with both teams showing a lot of respect. I think in the first half, we were very tense, perhaps because of the atmosphere and that emotional factor that leads you to rush your decisions, especially in attack. When we went into halftime, we realized what was happening, and we said, let’s free ourselves and go for it. In the second half, we came out pressing with more intensity, and that’s what allowed us to win the match.”
