0-0: DETERMINATION AND COURAGE TO EARN A POINT IN ZUBIETA

Sevilla FC Women played to a goalless draw against Real Sociedad away from home (0-0). The return to competition initially presented a tough challenge, with the hosts needing a win and the blanquirrojas dealing with absences but determined to keep adding points. And that’s exactly what happened, despite the lack of goals, David Losada’s team held their own against a well-organized opponent and even created solid chances to secure the victory.

In the first half, both teams were evenly matched on the field, trying to maintain possession without posing any significant danger. However, Sevilla was the only side to create chances, first with a long-range shot from Gemma early on, and later, around the half-hour mark, with a double opportunity for Fatou Kanteh that came close to crossing the goal line.

A clean sheet and chances in a always challenging setting

After the break, the pattern remained the same, with Sánchez Vera's side making early substitutions and the visitors looking for their chances while holding firm at the back. In this case, Millaray Cortés and Fatou Kanteh had opportunities to break the deadlock, but they were unable to beat Lete before the hour mark. With 15 minutes left, Real Sociedad created their clearest chance but were denied by Sullastres. Shortly after coming on, Natalia Padilla Bidas had another great opportunity to put her team ahead.
