The longest season in history is slowly approaching its conclusion, but an in-form Sevilla FC are still breaking so many records. The side are strong in attack, with last night's goalless draw in San Sebastián just the fourth time Sevilla have failed to score in the league, but what is true is the solidness of the defence. The team have already broken their record for longest unbeaten run, and that is not the only record that was broken last night in the Basque Country.

With just six league defeats after 37 matches, regardless of what Sunday's result against Valencia CF is, this Sevilla side have broken the club record for least league defeats in a 20-team LaLiga. The record had been set twice by Emery (2014/15) and Sampaoli (2016/17), who both lost eight matches. A loss on Sunday would take Sevilla to seven and will still break the club record.

Sevilla could better these numbers against Valencia on Sunday

Another number that does not stop growing is the number of clean sheetsand Sevilla now have more clean sheets in all competitions than any other LaLiga side. After two consecutive clean sheets against Mallorca and Real Sociedad, Lopetegui's men now have 23 clean sheetsone more than Real Madrid, who were crowned champions yesterday. Atlético de Madrid (21) and Getafe (19) are not far behind.

Although there are at least two matches left this season, the defensive stats in 2019/20 show that this is certainly one of the strongest Sevilla FC sides. With 23 clean sheets in 48 matches, the team have kept clean sheets in 47.9% of their matches, beating their highest numbers from 2005/06 (47.3%) and 2006/07 (47.6%).
