Daniel Carriço had a sour taste in his mouth after the draw against Atlético Madrid because 'we wanted to keep the winning streak in our stadium up, in front of our fans, we wanted to pick up the first win of the year but it wasn't to be. We showed a wonderful team spirit, the fans were with us all game long and I think we deserved to win. I have a sour taste in my mouth because I think we were by far the better team in the first half and we deserved the win,' he added.

'We were the better team, they created some chances in the second half, but in general we were better and had more opportunities. We have to continue in this vein, the team knows what we have to do, we are intense, aggressive, and it's difficult to beat us. But so are Atlético. It was a case of two really good teams coming up against one another, that's why we're both high up in the league,' he concluded.
