CASTRO ON SIGNINGS: "WHAT WE'RE CERTAINLY NOT GOING TO DO IS PAY OVER THE ODDS"

Chairman José Castro spoke to the media following Sevilla's club dinner this Thursday and took the chance to make a small evaluation of the squad - touching on one particularly important subject: signings: "I'm going to speak with total clarity. It's a subject which has been talked about since the market opened and will continue to be talked about... We've signed one player already but he's not playing yet and we've been working since the beginning of the market. But we had a change of coach and the Board needs to take his opinion into account. This market is short, it's problematic but the coaches and all of us are working to make the necessary signings. I'm sure we're going to make them before the deadline... But what we're certainly not going to do is pay over the odds for who we want to buy. If someone smells blood and tries to take advantage they're mistaken... We'll pay the price we think the player is worth".
