Jules Koundé and Joan Jordán spoke after the draw against Villarreal CF. The Sevilla goalscorer on the evening said that "I am very happy with the point in a game in which we suffered a lot. We weren't able to play how we wanted to and in the end a point is pleasing. That play symbolises the effort of the team despite the fact sometimes you play well and other times worse. This goal symbolises that the team never surrenders, that it is difficult to beat us. Villarreal played well but we got the draw. There are three games left for us, we are well-positioned and we have to seal it as soon as possible. We will go for the three points against Mallorca to seal the objective that we all want."

In turn, Joan Jordán was especially analytical, and always self-critical: "The feeling is that we have got a point that takes us closer to the objective but the truth is that in terms of the level of play we suffered a lot. I leave with a bit of a bittersweet feeling because we did not open them open well and we were not very good at pressing. We can't play the majority of the game like this because when they dispossess us we were very far away and it cost us." However, the Catalan midfielder was satisfied with having been able to get a point for the travelling fans: "We knew that many people were coming, you were able to feel a great deal of encouragement and I am happy that they have been able to go with at least a point from here. On Wednesday we have to show our faces and give our best performance and get back with our fans to achieve the objective so that they feel proud."
