Joaquín Correa was on target for in Sevilla's 2-1 win against Celta Vigo on Thursday night.

The Argentine's eighth goal of the season opened the scoring before Celta drew level from the penalty spot, with Wissam Ben Yedder securing the points on 79 minutes.

It was a difficult game against a tough side," said Correa. "We created a lot of chances in the game, Celta are a good team and we needed to win to keep ourselves in contention for third place and we did that.

I’m really happy with the goal, but the work that the team put in was really important. There’s a lot of talent in this dressing room."

The 22-year-old believes that Sevilla's third win in four games can propel them to a good position as the race for third place in LaLiga comes to its conclusion.

“We’ve got to do the best we can in the last four games," he added.
