Sevilla FC's centre-back, Diego Carlos, spoke to the media after yesterday's win away to RCD Mallorca: "It's very important to win the last game of the year". Talking about his own goal, which happened to open the scoring, he said: "It wasn't a foul. I was only looking at the ball, and I didn't see anyone behind me. It wasn't a foul".

On the debate about the lack of goals in the team, the Brazilian said that the two goals scored should give the team confidence: "It's very important. We had chances to score more goals. But the most important thing is the win and getting the three points". Diego Carlos was also asked about Sevilla's chances of mounting a challenge against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona: "We'll take it little by little. We're doing well this season, but we must keep it up. We'll see what happens".

On a personal note, Diego Carlos showed his happiness: "I'm very happy with my work. I'm going to continue doing what I'm good at, and improving myself so that I can help improve the team".
