Yesterday was a special day for one of our captains, Sergio Escudero, who started for the team last night and reached a new landmark at the Club. The left-back, with his appearance last night at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán against Valencia CF, played his 175th game for the Club in all competitions since his arrival back in the summer of 15/16.

In the six seasons he has defended the Sevilla FC badge, the left-back has played 108 games in LaLiga, twenty-three in the Champions League, twenty-one in the UEFA Europa League and twenty in the Copa del Rey. He also has two appearances in Spanish Super Cups and one in a UEFA Super Cup. In these 175 games, Escudero has scored seven and set up thirteen, and has two Europa League titles won in Basel and Cologne to round off an impressive CV.

It was also an important night for Bono as the Moroccan goalkeeper reached one-hundred matches in La Liga. Bono appeared in his 38th league game for the Nervionenses, while he made 68 appearances in his time at Girona FC. The Moroccan also kept his fifteenth clean sheet in the league: he finds himself only behind Oblak and Courtois. That was his 35th clean sheet in all competitions in a night Sevilla reached 50 clean sheets in the Julen Lopetegui era.
