Sevilla FC captain, Sergio Escudero, spoke to SFC Radio and TV and was understandably disappointed for his teammates following their cruel draw against Getafe: “It's been a questionable result. From my point of view Sergio was fouled, but the referee didn't see it like that and it cost us an important goal. We're coming away from the match frustrated because we had it under control".

Talking about the match, Escudero commented: "the first-half was difficult, they were tight and compact and we lacked speed with the ball. In the second-half we managed to pick up the pace and the opponent started to fall behind, allowing us to create opportunities".

Despite the draw, Escudero positively added "we're back on track, the team has shown they're a unit and we should carry on as we are. I have seen a huge change in the team and that's what we must continue with. We weren't playing to our full potential, we needed to give a little more because we have quality players and we need to show it".

"Now we need to change our mentality and think about the Copa del Rey semi-finals which look to be tough. We want to qualify for the final, but we know that it will be difficult", he concluded.
