ESCUDERO: 'THEY PRESSED HIGH AND MADE LIFE DIFFICULT FOR US'

Sergio Escudero attended the club's media to analyse Sevilla's defeat against Athletic: 'We couldn't bring the ball out, they pressed high and made life difficult for us. We tried to improve a few things to help us play out from the back but their pressing got the better of us. We have to improve for the cup game on Wednesday. Nothing's decided, Wednesday will be a new game.'

Regarding Sevilla's first-half of the season, the wing-back said: 'Generally speaking we had a good first half, we're up there fighting with the best. We wanted to end it better but it wasn't to be. Now we have to turn our sights towards the cup game and the Bernabéu.
