The last we played in white socks was our last European outing before the pandemic, at Cluj.

Although for many decades it was part of the kit, the new generations of Sevilla fans will see the white socks as an important novelty in their team's kit. It was back in 2005 when the socks were reverted back to black, the same as when the club was founded up until the fifties, however, from this point up until 2005, the kits bared white socks. In the last 17 years, Sevilla have only used white socks when there has been a clash of colours, away from home, and they have been obligated to do so

Well, that's the case for tonight at the London Stadium, as the characteristic maroon colour, which West Ham United will wear in full today, means that black socks cannot be worn, nor can the more commonly used alternatives of late, red. In fact, only the players' socks will be the only thing modified from the first leg a week ago. The last time the team played in all-white was back in the last thirty-two first leg against Cluj back in the 2019/20 UEL campaign. West ham will be in full claret and Sevilla all-white. The goalkeepers, like in the first leg, will be in green and yellow, respectively

This will be the fourth time Sevilla have played an official game in London. The first came back in the 2006/07 season when the team visited the now defunct White Hart Lane against Tottenham, wearing that revolutionary fluorescent orange. In the 2007/08 season the team played in black against Arsenal, whereas the year before the team were in the home kit at Stamford Bridge, against Chelsea.
