After last night's draw against Real Sociedad, Julen Lopetegui spoke to the press about his players efforts against a tough team: "From our standpoint, we were looking for all three points against one of our direct rivals. There were chances in both halves and the players put in a titanic effort after Thursday's game... the eight injuries as well. We put in a huge effort against a good side." The boss touched on Bono, another addition to the long injury list: "He had a niggle in his leg and didn't feel confident to play. We are going to assess things in the oncoming days."

Now it's time to turn attention to the next game: "We will try to bring players back for the nine games that remain and that the boys on international duty come back in one piece. Getting a Champions league spot is going to be really hard and we are going to have to fight for it. We are going to give it our all to get it and we are already looking towards bringing players back for when we come up against Barcelona."
