Sevilla FC coach Julen Lopetegui spoke at midday on Tuesday in the press conference ahead of the game tomorrow against RCD Mallorca at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, which will be the thirty-sixth La Liga matchday. The Basque coach started by highlighting that "we have already secured a Europa League place, where many want to be, but the demands of the club, of the players and the coaching staff make us dream of the Champions League and it is where we are going to try to finish. It is what makes the club grow and we are focused on this for the game tomorrow. Each one is a final one way or another and everybody is going to go till the end."

"I expect a complex and difficult game. No one looks at their last result as the reality. I have seen their results against Barcelona and they won against Atlético de Madrid... I expect this team, with their aggressiveness, with a very experienced coach, with good players and playing their trump cards for their aims. The result the other day could make them even more dangerous. I expect them to be very balanced and to play a great game as they did against Barcelona and Atlético" he continued.

"The most difficult thing remains. The present is tomorrow, Mallorca"

Lopetegui was asked about the individual cases of Ocampos and Martial: "We won't know until tomorrow if we will be able to count on Lucas. Today he wasn't able to train and we see how he is tomorrow to see if he can help us or not. For Martial we hope to see him again, he is better."

The Sevilla head coach went on to discuss tomorrow's game and the team's aim of cementing their place in next season's Champions League: "The hardest part remains, we've not made it just yet. It has been a complex and difficult season for us all. The players have been playing fantastically for three years and hopefully they reach their end goal. We are always looking forward, but there is nothing to review without having achieved anything yet. The season is the way it is and you have to adapt to the circumstances, giving the best one can possibly give. Now, the attention focused on Mallorca tomorrow."

"The fans have always given us love, support and they know that an important part of what we have achieved is thanks to them"

"I'm not focused on issues that are not under my control, but I am preparing for tomorrow's game. My relationship with the club is much deeper than a professional one, it involves respect and love, as well as mutual demand. The growth of the team has been evident in these last three years and together we want to keep on fighting to achieve our goals," said the coach from the Basque Country.

In closing, Lopetegui touched on the always exceptional support in the Sánchez-Pizjuán: "Tomorrow we are going to need that atmosphere to help us and give us that extra level of energy in order to hit our target. They always give us love and support and they must know that an important part of what we have achieved is thanks to them. Even in the pandemic we felt their presence. This makes us play better and play more competitively."
